The Boyd Clan and Related FamiliesJoseph Boyd lived in Maryland and moved to Ohio around 1814. He eventually settled in Southern Marion County, Ohio about 1821. He died in December 18, 1846. I have a copy of his will here.
I have a letter written in
March, 1849, by George Boyd just before he was killed at Camp Salado, near San Antonio in Texas while serving in the U.S. Army. He references the gold rush in California.
