Selling Out

In March, 2020, Dad moved into assisted living, and I (Mark) began the process of liquidating the house and it's contents. And boy were there contents. He was quite the collector of stuff that might be used for some future project. Now a lot of people collect stuff and never really use any of it, but Dad always had projects going on and he was constantly using things out of his inventory. But now projects had stopped and the inventory had to go.

Shelly & Mark Goodman were an enormous help in this process.

Here's a pic of the garage sale that we had. This is actually before things started. There was probably twice this amount that actually went through the garage sale.

This was during the first year of the COVID-19 pandemic. That added an interesting challenge to the whole affair.

The sad part was that Dad moved into assisted living the week the pandemic started. He moved in on Tuesday March 17th and by Saturday, we couldn't visit him. And a few weeks after that the meals were served in their rooms, so he was basically in solitary confinement.
