1998 VacationSt. Louis, Kansas City, Dallas, Oklahoma CityJohn was just learning to drive and I let him drive in St. Louis after we left the zoo. The traffic was really heavy and moving fast on the expressway. In retrospect, I guess I was crazy for letting him drive, but he did fine. No problems.John stayed with the Askins family in Kansas City while the rest of us went on to Dallas to see Spring and then back through Oklamahoma City. We say a rodeo in Dallas and the Dallas School Book Depository building and JFK Assasination Museum. Very interesting. I think in Oklahoma City we saw the Cowboy hall of fame. In Kansas City, we visited the Arabia museum where the old steamboat Ariba that has sunk in the Missouri River and had been dug up out of a field was on display. Very interesting. |
