1999 VacationWashington DCWe stayed in Silver Spring, Maryland, and rode the train in and out of the city each day. We did drive in one evening.Visited Eleanor Berkshire senior residential home she was living in in Alexandria. Her daughter was there I think. It was the only time I ever saw her. We went to the Air & Space museum. Connie was sick during that, and the next day we had to take her to an urgent care place, which shot most of the day. We toured Ford's Theater. We toured the FBI building. We toured the Capital Bld. We visited the Franciscan Monestary, Mount St Sepulchre. Very interesting things to see there. A mock up of the catacombs. A mock up of the church in Jerusalem where Christ was suposedly born. |
