Wahiawa Botanical Gardens & Dole PlantationOn Friday, we drove up to Wahiawa and arrived at the Dole Plantation about 8:30 AM. We then learned that they didn't open until 9:30, so we went back into Wahiawa and I noticed on my GPS that there was a Botanical Garden so I drove over there. It opened just after we arrive so we walked around in the garden. It was free. Even the parking was free! There were plants from all over the Pacific. We didn't stay a long time but we did enjoy the time we were there.
We got back to Dole Plantation about 9:45. We decided that the only thing there we really wanted to do was ride the train to tour the actual plantation. So we did that, and then walked around in the gift shop and we were ready to head back to the hotel.
So we got back to the hotel early in the afternoon. We read for a while then walked over to the beach to watch the sunset.
