1. Joseph Sr. BOYD was born about 1740 in , , Maryland. He died about 1795 in , , Maryland. He is reference number 64. Will probated 1799. Possible grandson of John and Mary Boyd. This generation and family was researched by Myrna Boyd Williams.
Joseph Boyd and his descendants are documented in a hand written paper titled "Annuls of Boyd Family". There, he is said to be of Irish decent.

Eleanor SCOTT was born about 1745 in , , , Ireland?. She died after 1800. She is reference number 65. Joseph Sr. BOYD and Eleanor SCOTT had the following children:

10	ix.	Elizabeth Betsy BOYD was born about 1774. As with Sallee, E. Berkshire mentioned that Besty was engaged but passed away before marriage.-Tim Brown. Annals of Boyd Family also confirm this.
