First Trip On The Water

August 3, 2017

We finally made it onto the water. We were on the water last week, just not boating. The engine wouldn't run. But now things are fixed and the boat ran good. The idle speed is a little high, but not terrible.

Here are the guages as we were running down the lake.

The captain at the helm!

Left side guages. Notice that tachometer is working. When I tapped the dashboard it started working OK. When I first started the engine, it was flaky like when I was running it on the hose in the driveway the other day.
Speedo still not working. I've checked the hose as best I can. I looked at the sensor on the I/O, but saw nothing wrong. My guess is the guage is shot. A GPS would work better anyway. Oil pressure is good. Charging is good. Maybe a little high. I forgot to look at the voltage after we'd run for a while. I can also check it with my voltmeter and see if maybe the meter is just a little off.

So serious, but good looking!
Hour meter after the end of the run. Compare to 183.4 after our brief time on the lake last week. One hour of service. That would include maybe 10 minutes of running in the driveway on the hose. The good news is, the hour meter is working!
